Fire Prevention

Fire Prevention Week 2017

The Fire Prevention Bureau is comprised of three positions:  Fire Marshal, Fire Protection Specialist and Administrative Specialist.  The Bureau is a full service unit involving Public Education, Weed Abatement, Fire Code Enforcement, as well as Fire and Arson Investigation. Additionally, we have partnered with the Fallbrook Fire Safe Council and North County CERT to find ways to collaboratively work together to reduce everyone's risk to fire and other natural disasters.

Gavilan Fire 2002

The most substantial threat facing our community has consistently been the threat of wildfire.  Over the past 15 years this community has experienced three major wildfires, each resulting in significant property loss.  One of the best ways to protect your property from wildfire is to take comprehensive, proactive measures.
